OUR CIDERS – Mergelsø

MERGELSØ CIDER

Our orchard is a sustainable ecosystem, yielding more fruit each year. We nurture native wild trees, preserve heirloom Danish apple varieties, and continuously plant new ones.

Our five ciders are a testament to this commitment:

SEPTEMBER CIDER

A harmonious blend of early-harvest apples, including the Danish varieties Rød Ananas, Katinka, Guldborg, and Bøghs Citronæble. The addition of wild apples offers a vibrant medley of flavors.

This cider is dry and winey, with notes of summer red apples on the nose. A beautiful golden hue and a balanced acidity make this a refreshing and complex beverage.

SEPTEMBER CIDER WITH BLACKCURRANTS

A bold twist on our classic September Cider. The addition of fermented blackcurrants during secondary fermentation creates a deep, intense flavor profile.

This cider boasts a vibrant purple hue and delicate bubbles, offering a harmonious blend of tart blackcurrants and crisp apples.

A complex blend of late-harvest apples, including Belle de Boskoop, Holsteiner Cox, Ingrid Marie, and Filippa.
